A bigger, more durable iPhone 14
A new form factor makes its appearance on the iPhone 14: the Plus model. It has a large 6.7-inch screen, compared to 6.1 inches on the classic iPhone 14. It’s not made for small hands and loses a bit in ease of use, but it has the advantage of being incredibly light. The good news is that it offers a much more comfortable gaming and viewing experience with this large panel that is still limited to 60Hz.
The iPhone 14 Plus above all promises better autonomy. The apple brand promises an improvement of up to 25% compared to the iPhone 13. In fact, it turned out to be a true champion during our test. He was able to reach two consecutive days of autonomy without any problem. And, if you have intensive use, it should last you the day without worries. On the other hand, its slow charge prevents it from having a 10/10 grade in this category.
As powerful as his little brother
As in the iPhone 14, to run its Plus version, Apple chooses the iPhone 13 Pro chip: the A15 Bionic, with a 6-core CPU and a 5-core GPU. Slight power gain compared to the previous model, but without major changes. It will be able to handle any type of task without slowing down. Then the user experience is seamless with iOS 16 and the Apple ecosystem remains fluid and easy to use.
As for the photographic part, the iPhone 14 Plus consists of two 12-megapixel sensors with a wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle lens. The aperture is slightly wider than before to capture more light and therefore more detail. The selfie camera is also improved and now includes autofocus. The shots are spot on, but we regret the absence of a telephoto lens for the price.
