The Galaxy A54 promises to be a small bestseller of the year 2023 for Samsung, after an excellent A53 in 2022. Another leak arrives to further corroborate the entire technical sheet.
Our eyes have long been glued to the new Galaxy S23, which we’ve extensively tested since launch. The next Samsung smartphones to attract media attention are now the Galaxy A54 and A34, which are the manufacturer’s next offensive in the mid-range and entry-level, respectively.
Actually, there is no real suspense regarding the Galaxy A54 spec sheet anymore, since there have been so many leaks. A new indiscretion detected by my smart price in Google Play Console always comes to close the debates on its technical characteristics.
A design that is confirmed
Undoubtedly, therefore, we will have to wait for a phone that is physically very close to the Galaxy S23, at least in terms of the rear facade and the integration of photo sensors. This bodes well for the general public, as this aesthetic choice is simply a hit on the brand’s latest flagships.
The screen of the Galaxy A54 should reach a diagonal of 6.4 inches, an interesting middle ground between the large 6.6-inch panels and the smaller 6.1-inch ones. Oled, Full HD + and 120 Hz refresh rate should obviously be there.
On the processor side, the Exynos 1380 should be part of it: however, we expect Samsung to step up its game with this new chip, as its predecessor had shown some signs of weakness at the time of our test. Our test will be used to compare them.
a story of weeks
5000 mAh battery, 25 W charge, IP67, dual SIM, NFC, 3.5 mm jack, OneUI 5.1 with Android 13 by default: the rest of the technical sheet clearly has its strengths, except for the 25 W charge that we continue to view it as limited and slow, even at the future price at which it will claim.
This is also one of the only recent data that is still well preserved: its price, which could exceed 500 euros, as well as its formalization and launch date. Last year, the Galaxy A53 had pointed the tip of its nose in mid-March: if Samsung sticks to this business logic, the presentation of the A54 is only a matter of weeks.
