“The Last of Us Part I” is coming soon to PC, much to the delight of keyboard gamers. But what settings are needed to properly run the Naughty Dog game on the computer?

Almost ten years after its initial release on PS3 (in 2014), The last of us is re-released for PC on March 28. This port is the logical continuation of the new version created for PS5 and released in September 2022.
Therefore, many gamers are delighted with the release of the famous survival game on a platform other than a Sony console. Windows fans will finally be able to discover (or rediscover) the adventures of Ellie and Joel. Note welcome support for PC-specific technologies such as DLSS on Nvidia GPUs and FSR 2.2 (FidelityFX Super Resolution) on AMD Radeon cards.
Except that not everyone will be able to run this game: the latter is really very greedy, if we believe the necessary settings revealed by Sony.

To aspire to properly benefit from it, you may need to renew all or part of your equipment. First of all, keep in mind that to run the game at minimum, i.e. 720p at 30 FPS, with graphics settings set to “Low”, you will need at least an Intel Core i7-4770K, an Nvidia GeForce 1050 Ti, as well as no less than 16 GB of RAM.
Therefore, the minimum configuration is quite demanding from the start… in other words, to take the game further, you will need even more powerful components. If you want to run the game at 60 frames per second and therefore need new components, we think of you first through our recommended settings guide. Here are three settings perfect for gaming at 60 FPS, 1080p, 1440p, or 4K..

The best settings to play in 1440p
The best settings for gaming in 4K Ultra
Be sure to check your motherboard model if you change CPUs, so that your socket is suitable for your new purchase. Also, be careful with having a screen that continues: there is no use running the game in 4K if your monitor is not capable of displaying it… Find our guide to the best screens to play if you want to have fun.
Also, whatever your setup, the game requires 100 GB of disk space on SSD. If you don’t already have an SSD installed in your tower or you don’t have enough space, we highly recommend the Samsung Evo 980 Pro A To M.2 SSD sold at 109 euros.
Finally, good news, The Last of Us Part I on PC it will be compatible with the Sony DualSense wired controller.
