Xiaomi 12T: copy the Pro model
The Xiaomi 12T and 12T Pro are two phones with very similar technical specifications. We find the same design, the same size (163.1 mm x 75.9 mm x 8.6 mm) and the same weight. Like its big brother, the 12T offers a large 6.67-inch format. Both benefit from an OLED panel (compatible with Dolby Vision and HDR10+) with a Full HD+ definition of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels for infinite contrast, but also excellent brightness. And it is a pleasure that we find a refresh rate of 120 Hz for quite appreciable fluidity on a day-to-day basis.
The 12T is once again on the same wavelength as the Pro version, and it doesn’t disappoint by offering a 5,000mAh battery. A great battery, so you can keep the smartphone going for a good day, or even longer, depending on your usage. If you don’t support wireless charging, you benefit from 120W fast charging. This is very effective for recharging power: it only takes 19 minutes to recharge the battery.
Without too many commitments
It is at the level of performance that concessions are made in this model. While the Xiaomi 12T Pro features the powerful Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, the 12T is powered by the Dimensity 8100-ultra chip with 8GB of RAM. Even if this chip is slightly less powerful, it is capable of running any demanding game or application without any problem, or multitasking. This model runs on Android 12 with the MIUI 13 interface. The smartphone also supports the 5G network.
The photo setup also differs. In fact, the 12T makes do with a “only” 108-megapixel sensor instead of the 200 of the Pro version. There’s also an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle and a 2-megapixel macro. In fact, it is capable of capturing good quality shots, even if the nighttime results will obviously be less convincing than on the 12T Pro.
