The Chinese giant Hisense has largely made a name for itself on the television side with numerous references for quality and low cost. For example, we found the 55A7GQ, a 55-inch QLED 4K UHD TV available for just 379 euros at Leclerc.

Hisense is one of the TV manufacturers that offers a significant number of budget models but which largely feature technologies that are in the mid/high range. This is particularly the case with the 55A7GQ model released in 2021. In addition to a quality QLED panel, it offers advanced technologies such as Dolby Vision and HDMI 2.1 support. Its price plummets at Leclerc thanks to a huge promotion coupled with an ODR.

The strengths of Hisense 55A7GQ TV

  • A 55-inch 4K QLED panel
  • Compatible with Dolby Vision, HDR10+, Dolby Atmos
  • Three HDMI 2.1 ports

First offered at €629, the Hisense 55A7GQ QLED TV is now shown at Leclerc at €429. But thanks to a valid ODR of 50 euros until February 7, 2023the price increases to 379 euros.

A quality QLED panel in HDR and SDR

Hisense has once again opted for an elegant and sober design for this model that looks almost exactly like its most advanced series. The screen has almost invisible edges and is supported by a rather imposing and solid metal foot that raises the screen 6 cm above the furniture on which it is placed.

The 55-inch QLED panel in 4K UHD (3,840 x 2,160 pixels) offers good image quality, with vivid colors despite a low contrast ratio: 1050:1. On the HDR side, the panel supports the HLG, HDR10, HDR10+ formats, but also Dolby Vision, which will have a definite impact on the supported video formats. On the other hand, there’s no anti-glare, so you’ll need to make sure you leave the TV in a dimly lit environment.

A model cut for all content without going overboard

In general, the 55A7GQ is quite versatile. It will satisfy movie lovers and gamers alike, even if you don’t have to be very picky. For gaming we have the right to 3 HDMI 2.1 ports and therefore compatibility with ALLM and VRR modes, all with a display delay of 14.2 ms, which is quite correct. On the other hand, the panel is limited to 60 Hz, so stay out of the high framerate in compatible games.

On the operating system side, the TV runs under Vidaa U, Hisense’s home interface. The latter is similar to what can be found on Android TV, even if navigation can sometimes stutter on video content and apps. On the other hand, voice assistants such as Alexa or Google Assistant are present. You’ll need a speaker attached to the side though, as the remote doesn’t have a microphone.
