Very light with a weight of only 1.19 kg, the LG Gram 16 Notebook PC is specially designed for users who have to travel daily. If it catches your eye, you can buy it for 1,099 euros instead of 1,599 euros at Boulanger.

It was in 2015 when LG revealed its “Gram” range, which at the time already included very light and perfectly calibrated laptops for mobile users. To this day, the brand continues to design very thin ultraportables whose weight does not exceed 1.5 kg. The LG Gram 16 model is one of these surprising references, and despite its featherweight, its technical sheet has not been neglected at all. Currently, this original model costs 500 euros less.

The essential points of the LG Gram 16

  • A lightweight 1.19 kg laptop
  • A 16-inch panel in 16:10 format
  • Combo i5 12th Gen + 16GB RAM + 512GB SSD

Launched at €1,599, then lowered to €1,199, the LG Gram 16 laptop is now offered at €1,099 at Boulanger.

LG Gram 16 at the best price?

An ultra-practical featherweight

Its small name, “Gram”, seems to indicate it: the LG Gram 6 notebook PC is very light. Just look at its weight – just 1.19kg on the scale, making it a breeze to transport on the go. Nomadic workers will appreciate it. In addition, it will not take up much space in your bag since its thickness does not exceed 17 cm. To offer such delicacy, LG has opted for a chassis made of aluminum alloy, known for its lightness, but which is also capable of withstanding shocks. On the other hand, as we noted in our test, the LG Gram 16 chassis is so flexible that it tends to sag slightly under finger pressure. Therefore, we will take care of saving this laptop that can be fragile.

Also, the LG Gram 16 may be very light, but it’s not small: it still has a 16-inch panel, which is a comfortable diagonal for working efficiently. As for this screen, framed by very thin edges, it also offers a very significant QHD definition (2,560 x 1,600 pixels) with a 16:10 format. The design will be very minimalist, even a bit austere for those who do not like machines that are too sober visually.

Light but powerful

The LG Gram 16 is capable of delivering plenty of power thanks to its Intel Core i5 1240P processor, clocked at 3.4GHz (boost up to 4.7GHz) and supported by 16GB of RAM. Such a configuration will allow you to chain office tasks fluently, and even perform multitasking. It will also be possible to edit videos and photos quite effectively. The 512 GB SSD will allow for its part to store a large amount of content, but it will also guarantee fast machine startups as well as reduced loading times. However, this LG Gram 16 is not designed for gaming. In fact, it lacks a dedicated graphics card, even if its Iris Xe Graphics driver is capable of running some resource-intensive titles.

Finally, regarding its autonomy, LG promises a duration of use of 19 hours, but this will obviously vary depending on your uses. In addition, this laptop is not stingy on connectivity as it has two USB 3.2 ports, a microSD card reader, two USB-C ports compatible with Thunderbolt 4 and Power Delivery, a combo jack output and an HDMI port.
