Oppo Pad Air (2022) at the best price?
A well-crafted design
For its first tablet, Oppo started from a parallelepiped design, that is, rather straight edges and rounded ends. At the back, the manufacturer opts for a plastic back in matt gray that does not leave fingerprints. We also note the sanded strip that occupies the entire upper part of the tablet, wrapping around the rear photosensor. Like the Xiaomi Redmi Pad, design-wise, the Oppo Pad Air is credited with similarities to the iPad Mini.
If visually, the tablet gives the impression of being relatively massive, it weighs only 440 g for dimensions of 154.84 x 245.08 x 6.94 mm. At the front, there is a 10.36-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 2000 x 1200 pixels (2K) for a density of 225 ppi. Its 16:10 format is pleasant to use on a daily basis. That being said, the display does show its limits outdoors in direct sunlight. This model also dispenses with Always-on and LTPO technology.
A contained configuration
For its Pad Air, Oppo went for the Snapdragon 680 and Adreno 610 combo. The octa-core processor is etched at 6 nanometers. The manufacturer combines it with 4 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 64 GB of UFS 2.2 storage, expandable up to 512 GB via microSD card. This configuration is designed for typical uses. The tablet will not be able to run AAA games properly, for example.
Based on Android 12, the interface of this tablet is magnified by ColorOS which is at version 12.1 in this first version. The screen reacts well, it is fluid. Finally, the Oppo Pad Air has a 7,100 mAh battery that easily provides a day of autonomy with mixed use. To fully charge it, it takes two hours of charging.
