Although most manufacturers integrate flat screens, some brands stand out with watches that have a screen with curved edges. This is obviously the case for Apple with its Apple Watch, but also for Google with its Pixel Watch launched late last year. If Samsung has been integrating screens with curved edges for some time -particularly with its Galaxy Watch Active 2-, the Korean manufacturer has finally opted for the flat screens of the Galaxy Watch 3. Since then, either the Galaxy Watch 4, the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, the Galaxy Watch 5 or the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, all of the firm’s watches incorporate a completely flat glass screen.
However, screens with curved edges have an advantage over connected watches. The design of the Pixel Watch, for example, has been praised for its particularly minimalist appearance by taking the form of a simple round pebble that, in the absence of edges, horns, or bezel, can completely change its appearance depending on the bracelet worn. added to it.

Samsung seems to be aware of this attraction to watches with curved screens. According to information from the Chinese leaker Ice Universe, generally well informed about Samsung’s projects, the Korean manufacturer intends to return to a screen with curved edges for its next generation of connected watches.
