While fans of the brand have lamented Samsung’s abandonment of the rotating dial in its latest connected watches, the manufacturer may back down. As one tipster suggests, the Galaxy Watch 6 Pro could come with a physical rotating bezel. This would not be the case a priori with the basic model.
According to information from filter SuperRoader on YouTube – via SamMobile, the rotating bezel could return to the Galaxy Watch 6 Pro expected for this summer. A return expected by Samsung fans for two years.
A great return to the Galaxy Watch 6 Pro
The rotating bezel or rotating bezel is a kind of physical button that surrounds the screen of a connected watch. Like the crown that can be found on other models, like the Apple Watch, this allows you to do a number of things. On the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, for example, you can change the brightness, wake up the screen, or just navigate the interface.
SuperRoader indicated in a video posted to YouTube that the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Pro would be entitled to a rotating ring. However, the basic model would not be entitled to it. This could be explained by the fact that the Galaxy Watch 6 would have a curved screen, which makes it difficult to integrate such a physical device.
The end of the rotating bezel on Samsung connected watches
Since the Galaxy Watch 4, the base model no longer had a rotating bezel on Samsung connected watches. In 2021, only the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic was entitled to this highly practical system. The manufacturer went further last year as neither the Galaxy Watch 5 nor the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro were equipped with it. It had changed this physical system for operation through tactile navigation.
Other leaks are already teasing potential details of Samsung’s next generation of smartwatches. The batteries in this one have passed certifications in South Korea and it looks like they will benefit from higher capacity. Which gives hope for better autonomy.
