Despite the arrival of new, more advanced models in terms of design or even features, the C920 continues to be, despite its age (first version launched in 2012), the manufacturer’s flagship webcam, with a value for money that is not it has wrinkled
From a technical point of view, the C920 HD Pro is still very much up to date with its Full HD glass sensor that can hit 30 frames per second. The latter offers sharp, detailed images with good light management and good focus. We are also entitled to H.264 AVC compression for high quality videos at low bit rates. Plus, it lets you take advantage of a 78-degree field of view that can also be used for video, streaming, video conferencing, or content creation.
On the sound side, it also has two omnidirectional microphones that will provide stereo and natural sound that will be more than enough for video chats, for example. Another point in favor, the webcam also has a very practical mounting system with an adjustable clip to adapt perfectly to any fixed screen, on a laptop PC or even on a tripod thanks to a tip designed for it.
The piece of software that further enhances the experience
Logitech was one of the first to bet on the software part of its peripherals. On the webcam side, it is with Capture that everything is organized. The software can be installed directly from the webcam connection and allows, in particular, recording to a number of different sources (including from non-Logitech devices), capturing vertical video for mobile viewing or on social media, embedding text in live or apply filters
The C920 HD Pro is also ultra-flexible on any platform, supporting Windows, Mac, and even ChromeOS.
