A generation that brings its share of novelties
The iPhone 14 Pro maintains the look of its predecessors, with stainless steel edges and a very successful frosted glass back. It is above all the addition of the Dynamic Island function that makes the difference: the notch turns into a lozenge to accommodate the front camera and the sensors necessary for Face ID, which could also go under the screen on the 16 Pro. Pill integrates perfectly with the software’s interface, as it automatically interacts with your notifications and widgets through animations.
To continue on the screen, this generation 14 Pro introduces (finally) the always-on display. A perfectly mastered function here, and it will constantly display information such as date and time. For the rest, the 6.1-inch panel is still Oled with very faithful colors and good brightness. To this is added a refresh rate that goes from 1 to 120 Hz for a more pleasant navigation. It is also at the level of the photo where the changes are noticeable. The arrival of a telephoto lens and above all a resolution of 48 megapixels for the main sensor make the difference. The latter allows a 2x digital zoom and still flawless photos. Video also offers stability at all times.

The internal power of this iPhone 14 Pro is provided by the new A16 Bionic chip. Recorded at 4nm, it is advertised as 10% more powerful (at the CPU level) than the previous generation. However, it does not bring a real power gain, the difference will not be felt on a daily basis, even in the most demanding games. It is more the operations related to artificial intelligence that will be faster. Then, with iOS 16, you’ll enjoy an always-smooth, easy-to-use interface.
Once again, Apple is a good student in terms of autonomy. The iPhone 14 Pro has a slightly larger battery than the iPhone 13 Pro and can last a good day of battery life, even though Alway-On is turned on. Durable, but still slow on load. After 30 minutes, the 14 Pro recovers 50% charge with a 20W (or higher) adapter, which is not included as a reminder.
