Launched last year, the Honor 70 is a mid-range smartphone that stands out above all for its careful design, its OLED screen and its comfortable autonomy. A good model that today has the advantage of being cheaper thanks to a promotion combined with a promotional code: on the Honor site, it can be found at 399 euros instead of 549 euros.

Last year, Honor impressed by launching its mid-range Honor 70 smartphone, whose specs included several features borrowed from the premium segment, such as its 120Hz refreshed OLED screen. But, one of the big black spots on this model was actually its price, which was considered too high compared to the competition. Fortunately, this price has just dropped below 400 euros, which makes it much more recommendable.

The essential points of the Honor 70

  • A 6.67-inch + 120 Hz AMOLED panel
  • A Snapdragon 778G+ chip
  • good resistance

Launched at 549 euros, then reduced to 449 euros, the Honor 70 (128 GB) is now offered at 399 euros on the Honor site thanks to the promo code ARCPSH70.

where to buy the

Honor 70 at the best price?

An elegant and careful design

Visually, the Honor 70 has everything of a premium smartphone. With its brushed back, its curved edges and its round photomodules very well aligned on the back, we have very careful finishes. We still recommend using a case to avoid minor scratches. For the rest, we will appreciate the general lightness of the smartphone, since it weighs only 178 g. And despite its height of 161.4mm, it won’t be very imposing at just 7.91mm thick.

Regarding its screen, Honor has opted for a 6.67-inch curved OLED panel, which has the advantage of being very bright. The definition in Full HD + will provide a good image quality rich in detail. And that’s not all: the Honor 70 screen also has an adaptive refresh rate that can go up to 120 Hz, allowing you to enjoy excellent visualization fluidity.

Honorable performance and a good photographic module.

When it comes to power, the Honor 70 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G Plus chip, a mid-range processor that is supposed to boost in-game capabilities for better AI performance. However, turning the graphics settings to the maximum could expose us to some lag during gaming sessions, so for less demanding and more basic tasks, the smartphone will do very well. The fluidity will be there for browsing, multitasking, or even messaging.

As for photography, the Honor 70 does its job well thanks to its three sensors (a 54-megapixel main sensor (f/1.9), a 50-megapixel ultra-wide angle, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor). Thus, the smartphone offers great versatility and sufficiently detailed beautiful shots. The sharpness and the colorimetry are particularly satisfactory, but the management of the dynamics is sometimes difficult, unfortunately.

A truly durable smartphone

The best for last: where the Honor 70 really stands out is in terms of its autonomy. Indeed, you can count on a day and a half of use with a classic mixed use, even intensive thanks to its 4,800 mAh battery as well as the good optimization of the device. Special mention also for its particularly economical standby mode. On the charging side, we will have the right to a 66 W block, with fast charging that will allow us to recover 50% of the energy in the space of 20 minutes. For a full recharge, you will have to wait 1 hour.
