A design that does not change, and much better
Obviously, we don’t change a winning team at Samsung in terms of design. In fact, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 is a copy of its predecessor. Inside we will have the same folding 6.7-inch OLED screen, with a refresh rate of 120 Hz for excellent fluidity, as well as a small 1.9-inch OLED panel on the outside. The latter is also capable of displaying various useful widgets: you can, for example, set up three contacts to quickly call without unfolding your smartphone. In short, a design that continues to work, especially since the clamshell format of this type of smartphone is still just as pleasant. Its main quality is the ability to slip it into your pocket or hold it easily in the palm of your hand. Also note that this Z Flip 4 is IPX8 certified, which means it can be (accidentally) submerged in water.
A power ten times greater
If you don’t change its design, the performance of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 differs from that offered by its predecessor. We find in the Z Flip 4 the very powerful Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. Which benefits from a certain power gain, both for gaming and for the user experience in general. The Z Flip 4 will be able to run any application without slowing down, and even offers relatively contained heating in very greedy users. In the photographic section, we will have the right to a dual sensor (wide angle + ultra wide angle) of 12 megapixels and a 10 megapixel front camera. So we will get shots with beautiful colors and effective sharpness, but we will still regret the absence of a telephoto lens, which however some competitors offer.
Finally, on the autonomy side, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 incorporates a 3,700 mAh battery, compared to the 3,300 mAh of the Z Flip 3, which was cruelly lacking on this side. The Z Flip 4 offers better autonomy and can last a full day without suffering too much; of course, everything will depend on the nature of its uses.
