An evolved version of the Arctis 7P, the SteelSeries Arctis 7P+ gaming headset has set the bar high in terms of comfort and audio quality to the point of being rewarded multiple times by specialists. As of today, it is possible to get it on Rakuten for 84.99 euros instead of its recommended price of 149.99 euros.

The winter sales ended yesterday, and yet the Frandroid staff continues to find good deals on the main commercial sites. Today, it’s the SteelSeries-branded gamer headsets that are in the spotlight. The Arctis 7P+ model, designed for PS5 and awarded multiple times since its launch in early 2022, benefits from a discount of 65 euros.
SteelSeries Arctis 7P+ Highlights
- Comfort and build quality.
- 30 hour autonomy
- Compatibility with multiple platforms.
- Balanced and modular sound reproduction on PC
Instead of the usual 149.99 euros, the SteelSeries Arctis 7P+ is now available for sale for 84.99 euros on Rakuten. To get this price, you must use the promotional code RAKUTEN15 to obtain an additional reduction of 15 euros to the already applied 50 euros.
A quality design, but with an air of deja vu
The Arctis 7P+ headset looks exactly like its predecessor, the Arctis 7P. Here, SteelSeries has chosen not to change a winning formula in terms of aesthetics and ergonomics. The Arctis 7P+ consists of a double headband, one rigid made of steel and aluminum and another made of elastic and adjustable fabric. Cloth ear muffs are comfortable, but imperfect when it comes to noise isolation. Lastly, the microphone sits at the end of a retractable, flexible rod, perhaps a bit too much as it tends to move on its own when handling the headset.
The Arctis 7P+ comes with a 2.4GHz USB-C dongle to connect from. If this headset was designed primarily for PS5, it is in fact compatible with other platforms like Nintendo Switch, PC, your smartphone or tablet, but not Xbox. For the latter, it is better to turn to the Arctis 7X models.
Gaming-grade audio performance
First of all, the strong point of the Arctis 7P series headset is its compatibility with PS5’s Audio Tempest 3D technology, which gives you a compelling immersive experience by amplifying the discrete sounds around you. Overall, the Arctis 7P+ gets the job done without standing out with balanced audio reproduction that doesn’t attack your eardrums but lacks punch. The big weak point of this headset, in addition to the absence of Bluetooth, is the microphone, which is quite basic and does not manage to reproduce the voice naturally.
Audio qualities can be boosted for PC users who can use SteelSeries software to access an equalizer and customize headset settings to their liking. Even the software is highly recommended depending on how you intend to use the headphones (listening to music, movies, games, etc.). Finally you can enjoy it for a long time with its 30 hours of autonomy.
