OnePlus exhibits its first tablet at MWC 2023. We were able to take it by the hand.

OnePlus introduced its first tablet at the beginning of February. On the occasion of the Mobile World Congress, the brand allows the press to take the product in hand and get an idea. Unfortunately, the brand is yet to communicate pricing and is content to announce an estimated release around April.

An excellent Android tablet?

Let’s say it, it is not with this tablet that the manufacturer will offer a revolution in terms of design. We are in a completely classic product. This is good news, the brand is not going to invent a gadget to sell and offers us here a very mastered concept.

Thus, we have a 550-gram tablet with a very nice 11.6-inch 2800 x 2000 pixel screen at 144 Hz and quite thin edges. OnePlus promises a factory calibration for a DeltaE of less than two, in other words, a tablet that should surprise.

On the performance side, we remember the right to a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chip with 8 GB of LPDDR5 and 128 GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

The tablet comes with the classic accessories: a physical keyboard that allows you to hold the tablet in landscape format and a stylus for taking notes.

All in all, no complaints about what was presented. OnePlus knows its subject and offers here a tablet with excellent finishes.

And OxygenOS as driver

Naturally, OnePlus offers here an Android tablet with the OxygenOS 13.1 interface. We are quite convinced of what the brand offers on smartphones and here it uses essentially the same interface.

Fortunately, there are still some optimizations for the tablet format, including the ability to display multiple apps side by side. OnePlus also told us about easier synchronization with the brand’s smartphones and accessories.

We still don’t know if it will be able to dethrone the iPad as the default tablet recommendation, but from this first test we came away with the idea of a very promising product. It remains to find out the price.
