It is immediately announced: the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro It stands out as the good reference to play at an affordable price (for this type of product!). It’s true that its most recent iteration, which we tested, has few changes, but the formula is still good, with recent components.
The plastic chassis has remained the same: it is understated and well built. The same goes for the keyboard and trackpad, which are nice and precise. Lenovo’s gaming laptop has a 16:10 screen with a diagonal of 16 inches and a beautiful WQXGA definition (2560 x 1600 pixels). The latter offers a superb maximum brightness of 520 cd/m² and a refresh rate of 165 Hz, largely appreciable for gaming, and is compatible with Nvidia G-Sync.
In terms of connectivity, the Legion 5 Pro is very generous, with everything necessary for everyone: USB-A, USB-C on Thunderbolt 4, but also an HDMI port and an RJ45.
It is especially for its excellent performance that the Legion 5 Pro stands out. In the 16IAH7H build that we were able to test there is an Intel Core i7-12700H chip and a GeForce RTX 3070 Ti. Suffice to say, this pairing will have no problem running all the latest games, not to mention the model houses 32GB of RAM, so multitasking won’t be a concern either.
If you are looking for a laptop with a large screen, that performs both in games and in productivity, all for less than 2,000 euros, you can do it.

Year after year, model after model, Microsoft is refining its hybrid PC formula with the Surface Pro. This latest version certainly isn’t overly innovative, but it still holds the sail high in terms of convertible PCs. In this area, the Redmond Giant is king.
The Surface Pro 9 can take the form of a large 13-inch tablet or an ultraportable PC when attached to its keyboard. The edges of the screen are thin, the hinge allows all kinds of configurations and the panel benefits from a good fluidity thanks to a 120 Hz refresh (for the Intel version, not for the ARM version). The finishes are perfect, nothing to complain about, the product exudes the “premium” side.
Unfortunately, Microsoft is still a bit stingy with accessories: the Surface does not come natively with the keyboard and its excellent Surface Slim Pen 2 stylus. You will have to add 179 euros for these almost essential accessories to enjoy the experience to the fullest Surface.
With an Intel Core i5 1235U and 8 GB of RAM, the Surface Pro 9 is available from 1,200 euros. It continues to convince in performance thanks to its 12th generation processor, somewhat less in autonomy, since it will not last the day. However, it is the ideal machine for those looking for flexibility, performance and a reliable and durable product.
