Leaker Kuba Wojciechowski shares new information about the Google Pixel Tablet. Unfortunately, the latter would not have the right to an Oled screen. On the other hand, we discovered that there would be two versions for the charging base.

Remember the Google Pixel tablet? This was introduced at the same time as the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. Unlike smartphones, however, the tablet was only entitled to brief explanations and few images. Precisely, the Mountain View firm simply wanted to give its news pending the official launch in the course of this year 2023.
And now this famous Pixel Tablet talks about it again, but this time it’s not through Google. The latest news comes from leaker and developer Kuba Wojciechowski, known on Twitter for teasing interesting product information ahead of launch. In a series of tweetss, explains that he found new information on the tablet while one of his sources sent him photos of a test model.
They have also provided me with some photos of the device. pic.twitter.com/ctKWQoVDCT

In its thread, Kuba Wojciechowski begins by correcting the shooting on one subject: everything suggests that there will be one and only model of the Google Pixel Tablet. Some time ago, the leaker thought that he had found proof of the existence of a possible Pro version, because he had detected two codenames “tangor” (or “T6”) and “tangorpro” (or “T6Pro”). Actually, “T6” was a version powered by a first generation Tensor chip. This variant was eventually dropped and only the “T6Pro” device would come out with, unsurprisingly, a Google Tensor G2 chip.
LCD screen and two versions for the charging base
Then the developer was able to learn more about certain technical features of the Google Pixel Tablet. The slate would thus benefit from 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256 GB internal storage, and a fingerprint reader would be placed on the side. For the screen, some highlighted elements dim the hopes of an Oled screen. Sadness. The Google tablet would therefore bet on the LCD with a definition of 2560 x 1600 pixels. Older hallway noises evoke a 10.95-inch diagonal.

Finally, an interesting detail that Kuba Wojciechowski mentions in a last tweet: there could be two models for the charging dock support for speakers. Remember, the official images shown by Google showed a Pixel tablet propped up on a charging dock that also acted as an audio speaker. By placing the tablet in this accessory, we could charge it while using it as a connected speaker instead of a Nest Hub to possibly control objects around the house.
However, these uses would not worry everyone since there would be two docks available: one with a speaker and another that would only serve to charge the Pixel Tablet. Enough to suggest that it will be necessary to pay an additional sum to take advantage of the scenarios caused by Google during its presentation.
