A design and a sublime screen
The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is strictly the same as its predecessor with quality materials. It offers a rather solid rectangular format, but whose edges have been flattened to guarantee a better grip. Perfect for using a stylus that requires a solid support to write with ease.
Its gigantic 6.8-inch diagonal reveals a magnificent Dynamic Amoled touch screen. It offers adaptive refresh of up to 120 Hz and QHD resolution. Our measurements found a maximum brightness of 1609 cd/m2 as well as a Delta E of 4.58. It is almost flawless. It lacks just a bit of precision, but nothing prohibitive.

The S23 Ultra benefits from photographic improvements, such as the integration of a new 200-megapixel main sensor. It uses pixel binning to merge photo sites and get to 12 megapixels. Whatever the mode requested, the photos taken are of very good quality. Night mode is certainly a bit less fancy, but everything is still of a very high standard.
A much more efficient processor and battery life
After long being confined to its Exynos chips in the European market, Samsung has (finally) decided to switch to a Qualcomm chip in its new Galaxy S23 range. Thus, the Ultra model benefits from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (along with 8 GB of RAM) and is much more satisfying in terms of performance compared to its predecessor. This phone is therefore very powerful, with the possibility of running all the 3D games you want and in the maximum graphics conditions, all without heating. It runs on One UI 5.1 based on Android 13, an interface whose animations have really gotten smoother. It is also compatible with the 5G network.
On the autonomy side, once again, the South Korean firm is making clear progress. The S23 Ultra lasts two full days without blinking, even up to the third day if its use is not very intensive. During our test, we put it through our ViSer protocol to simulate mixed use. The mobile fell to 10% after 15 hours and 14 minutes, a very nice score. On the other hand, it is a pity that the charge allows to recover 100% of the energy in an hour, and that the charger does not come in the box.
