An already popular design
As mentioned above, the LG OLED65CS TV borrows the design of the C1 range models. And if the latter is no longer very young, its physical characteristics are still just as appreciable, with its clean lines, its thin screen edges and its long and very solid metal foot. However, we will not be entitled to the new manufacturing design of the C2, which benefits from a new composite fiber frame, which reduces the weight of the entire television.
On the other hand, in terms of its screen, the LG OLED65CS does embed the panel of C2 televisions, much brighter than that of the C1. Otherwise, of course, we will benefit from the infinite contrasts, the deep blacks and the rich colors.
The good performance of C2 series
In the bowels of the LG OLED65CS we will find the Alpha 9 Gen 5 processor that powered the C2 range televisions. This processor provides more efficient 4K upscaling for displayed content and a much higher level of detail than the previous generation. On the compatibility side, there will be HDR, HDR10 as well as Dolby Vision IQ, which is an evolution of the classic Dolby Vision and which will be in charge of adapting the image according to your environment for a better perception of small details. On the sound side, we will benefit from a Dolby Atmos emulation for a very wide and immersive sound that spreads throughout the room.
The game is not forgotten
The LG OLED65CS TV is also quite suitable for gaming, since it incorporates 4 HDMI 2.1 ports, which allow 4K@120 frames per second. Also included will be ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode, which significantly reduces latency by automatically switching to a mode intended for this purpose) and VRR (Variable Refresh Rate, which combats screen tearing), as well as support for Nvidia G-Sync and AMD.
