The leaked renders shed some light on the design of the potential Motorola Edge 40 Pro. The next spearhead of the Chinese manufacturer is revealed there in the guise of a particularly elegant device, articulated around a large perforated OLED panel.

Motorola continues to chart its course in the shadow of other Chinese market leaders and Samsung. The brand should announce a new high-end smartphone soon.

While the name of the device has yet to be confirmed, it could be called the Motorola Edge 40 Pro or, as other sources suggest, the Motorola Moto X40. It would then be a carbon copy of a product launched a few months ago in Asia. Let’s add that as a general rule, Europe inherits the Edge nomination while the rest of the world has an X followed by a number.

In any case, it is he who we discovered this week through two official images shared by evan blassoften well informed.

Thus, the device reveals itself in a matte black chassis, with curved edges and a large perforated screen with particularly reduced borders. On its back, a square island that groups three sensors and a flash, but also the logo of the brand, in the center. On the left side we can see the volume and power/lock buttons. Classic, but elegant.

Towards a beautiful concentrate of power?

On the technical sheet side, we are still waiting for the moment. However, if the device takes the name and specs from the Moto X40, we should find a particularly muscular setup there. Launched in China late last year, the Moto X40 can be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, paired with either 8 or 12 GB of RAM and 128 to 512 GB of internal storage. On the display side, it’s also based on a large 6.7-inch AMOLED panel, which seems to correspond to renderings shared by Evan Blass.

In the photography component there would be a 50 Mpx main sensor, a 50 Mpx ultra-wide angle sensor and a 12 Mpx zoom. The set would finally be powered by a 4600 mAh battery, compatible with the 120W fast (wired) charging technology of your Moto X40 or if you choose to venture into something different by adopting the Motorola Edge 40 Pro moniker. The answer officer shouldn’t take too long.
