A model with its share of improvements
By designing the Surface Pro 8, Microsoft is evolving its hybrid tablet design. This eighth generation is inspired by the Surface Pro X and incorporates an 11% larger screen compared to the previous generation, according to the brand. The slab still benefits from a 13-inch diagonal in a 3:2 ratio, with narrower screen borders. The display now offers a 120Hz refresh rate for a better stylus experience as well as smoother and more efficient viewing.
We found the adjustable foot with a hinge really nice to operate and a keyboard that bulked up to accommodate the Surface Pen stylus. At less than 900g, this tablet PC is easy to transport and adapts to the way you work, wherever you are thanks to its hybrid form factor. This model also integrates the Bluetooth 5.1 and Wi-Fi 6 standards and improves its photographic section, by offering two photo sensors (one on the front and one on the back), the main one of which is 10 megapixels and capable of recording up to 4K.
A solid setup
To guarantee the day to day, the Surface Pro 8 incorporates an 11th generation Intel chip. Microsoft’s hybrid tablet is responsive and promises twice the performance compared to the previous model according to the brand. With its 8GB of RAM and 11th Gen i5 processor, you’ll have no trouble multitasking, opening heavy software, browsing the web with multiple tabs open, and more. On the storage side, a 256 GB SSD has been planned to offer you good responsiveness.
Windows 11 is also there to offer a smooth user experience and will also manage the refresh rate dynamically to maximize autonomy. In addition, the hybrid tablet promises a range of 16 hours to easily last a day out of a plug. Finally, the manufacturer updates the connectors and abandons the USB-A port, in favor of two Thunderbolt 4 ports. Last element: you have the possibility to very easily change the internal SSD of the machine.
