- Press Shift+Command+3.
- Normally, a thumbnail appears in the lower right corner of the screen.
- By clicking on it you can modify the capture.
- If you do nothing, the screenshot will be saved to your desktop with a nested icon in the upper right corner.
How to take a screenshot of part of your screen in macOS?
- Press the Shift + Command + 4 keys.
- A crosshair pointer appears on the screen.
- Use this pointer to define the area of the screen that you want to capture.
- When you release the mouse button, the capture is performed.
- Normally, a thumbnail appears in the lower right corner of the screen.

How to take a screenshot of a menu or window on Mac?
- First, open the menu or window you want to capture.
- Press the Shift + Command + 4 + Space keys simultaneously.
- A camera-shaped pointer appears.
- Click this pointer on the menu to capture.
- Normally, a thumbnail appears in the lower right corner of the screen.
- By clicking on it, you can modify it.

Also, if you don’t want to use a keyboard shortcut, you’ll need to type “Screenshotin the search bar at the top right of the screen. Then the bottom bar appears.
