While the MWC in Barcelona will officially open its doors in a little less than a week, the Chinese manufacturer Honor is already taking the lead. In fact, the firm has announced, this Tuesday, not a new smartphone, but a connected bracelet for athletes, the Honor Band 7.

Unsurprisingly, this new connected bracelet follows the Honor Band 6 announced by the manufacturer two years ago. As usual in Honor -and like Xiaomi or Realme-, the bracelet is offered at a particularly affordable price, much more than that of a connected watch. However, Honor does not skimp on the features of this Honor Band 7.

Thus, we will find a rectangular Amoled screen of 1.47 inches diagonal with a definition of 194 x 368 pixels for a density of 282 pixels per inch. The bracelet obviously offers monitoring of the number of steps taken during the day thanks to an accelerometer, but also monitoring of heart rate and SpO2 throughout the day. Regarding health data, the Honor Band 7 can also evaluate the quality and phases of sleep, but also your stress level.

Activity tracking for 96 sports

Of course, sports training monitoring is also part of the game with 96 sports activities announced by Honor, from running to rowing, swimming or jumping rope. On the other hand, in the absence of a dedicated GPS or GNSS geolocation chip, you will necessarily have to go through your smartphone to have accurate tracking of the distance covered during your workouts.

In addition to sports and health features, Honor Band 7 can also display your notifications on your wrist, allowing you to ring your smartphone for easy finding, display the weather, or control music. On the other hand, not being equipped with an open operating system like Wear OS, it is not possible to install additional applications on it.

On the autonomy side, Honor announces that its Band 7 can be used for 14 consecutive days with moderate use and for 10 days with “intensive scenarios”. We thought in particular about the activation of the screen. always on.

The Honor Band 7 is now available at a price of 59.90 euros in a single black color.
