Galaxy S23: Samsung confirms its official presentation date

After several weeks of rumors, Samsung finally confirmed on Wednesday, January 11, that its next press conference related to Galaxy smartphones will take place on February 1 at 7pm Paris time. As a reminder, these are three smartphones that need to be highlighted during the event, the Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra. A year and a half ago, Google introduced Monet, the system integrated into its Material You software design that allows you to change the colors of the interface to match those of the wallpaper. Among the novelties presented with Android 13 last year, the possibility for developers to adapt the color of their application icons to those of the system. Given the lack of enthusiasm on their part -and the tastes of users who would like a more harmonious home screen- the firm is working on a function that would force the colorization of the icons even though the developers have not integrated this function.

The Galaxy S23 Plus could be the last of its kind

According to information from The Elec site, which is generally well informed about Samsung’s projects, the Korean manufacturer has only two Galaxy S24s in the pipeline for next year. The firm could thus abandon the “Plus” version of its high-end smartphones to focus on the classic version and the Ultra model.
