Every year, smartphone manufacturers take advantage of the great mass of the MWC to present their news for the coming months. Xiaomi unveiled part of its line up 2023, with its two new flagships : the Xiaomi 13 and the Xiaomi 13 Pro.
High-end phones at the head of the Xiaomi catalog and that have a particularly well-stocked technical sheet. Scheduled for release on March 8, they are currently available for pre-order on Xiaomi’s site with a particularly interesting pre-order offer.
A 4K TV offered for any pre-order of the new Xiaomi smartphones!
If we will still have to wait a few days to be able to get our hands on the new Xiaomi smartphones, however, it is possible to reserve them today. The manufacturer has also dished out an attractive pre-order offer: for any purchase of a Xiaomi 13 or Xiaomi 13 Pro, a 43-inch Xiaomi P1E 4K TV is offered above for 449 euros. Xiaomi really pampers its first buyers!

This offer is valid on most of the usual operators and resellers (Fnac/Darty, Boulanger, LDLC, RED, Bouygues Telecom, Orange, Free, etc.), as well as on the Xiaomi site: Mi.com. The Xiaomi 13 and the Xiaomi 13 Pro will be available from March 8 from 999 euros.
Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro: a photo score that impresses thanks to the partnership with Leica
For this new generation of smartphones, Xiaomi has once again worked hand in hand with Leica to offer a high-end photo block on its devices. His ambition? To offer one of the best photophones currently available on the market.
This collaboration allows Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro to benefit from the experience and inimitable style of Leica products through two photographic profiles. On one hand, the genuine leica, which offers a photo with colors as close to reality, well-defined shadows, high contrast and very precise details. On the other, the vibrating leicawhich slightly alters saturation and lightness to create vibrant colors and sharp shadows, it’s particularly effective at capturing the emotion of a scene or moment.

On the hardware side, and always with a view to offering a high-end photographic experience, Xiaomi has opted for the best in terms of sensor. The Xiaomi 13 thus integrates the Sony IMX800, while the Xiaomi 13 Pro is equipped with the Sony IMX989. Two one-inch sensors that work wonders when combined with Leica optics. What to obtain a greater dynamic range, less noise in the image and more light information (which is essential in photography).
To complete and sublimate the work done by Leica, these two smartphones can count on Xiaomi’s knowledge at the software level. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 works wonders when it comes to image enhancement and capture speed, and both the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro benefit from internal features like ProFocus. In order not to spoil anything, photo enthusiasts will be pleased to know that these smartphones support the 10-bit RAW DNG format, as well as Adobe color profiles. An ideal combination of hardware and software for a high-level photographic experience.
Xiaomi 13: a light and compact, but powerful smartphone
With the Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi offers a smartphone that should delight lovers of understated design. Its extremely thin and light (just 8mm for less than 190g) flat-edged aluminum alloy case is very pleasant to hold and pleasant to wear. It is also relatively resistant thanks to its IP68 certification that allows it to resist dust and temporary immersion in water.
On the screen side, Xiaomi has opted for a screen that occupies almost the entire surface of the device (93.3% to be precise). This 6.3-inch AMOLED panel with a definition of 2,400 by 1,080 pixels can count on good brightness and, above all, with an excellent 120 Hz refresh rate that ensures fluidity at all times. HDR10, 10+, Dolby Vision and HLG are the order of the day for vivid, high-contrast color viewing.

In the bowels of this Xiaomi 13, the manufacturer has gone straight to the point in order to offer the best on the market. So it’s a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 that powers the device and allows it to shine in the vast majority of uses. A 4,500 mAh battery compatible with 67 W fast wired charging and 50 W fast wireless charging completes this technical sheet and ensures full autonomy to say the least honestly.
Xiaomi 13 Pro: luxury made in Xiaomi
The Xiaomi 13 Pro, for its part, offers quite a different style to the Xiaomi 13. Larger, it sports a 6.73-inch screen with rounded edges that run towards the photographic module located on the back of the device. Its AMOLED E6 panel is bright and offers an image with vivid and realistic colors thanks to 100% coverage of the sRGB and P3 gamuts. Nothing to complain about in terms of fluidity either thanks to an adaptive refresh rate that ranges from 1 to 120 Hz.

Again, Xiaomi did not go with the back of the spoon since it is a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 that equips the Xiaomi 13 Pro. A SoC that works great whatever the use, including the most demanding 3D games, while bringing many improvements in photography or autonomy. Speaking of autonomy, the latest from Xiaomi is strong with a 4,820 mAh battery and support for 120W fast wired charging (versus 50W wireless). Enough to allow it to be fully recharged in just 19 minutes if we believe the manufacturer’s data.
