For elite gamers, the PC screen is an element not to be overlooked in your setup. Rather than offering gorgeous visuals, it should accommodate high-strung competitive games of the multiplayer FPS genre. At the moment, one of the market benchmarks, the Millennium MD27 Pro, is available at a price of 199.99 euros instead of Fnac’s 229.99 euros.
Do you need a gaming monitor with high-quality resolution and a sharp refresh rate? The Millenium MD27 Pro is one option to add to your setup. This gaming monitor will be able to satisfy the most demanding players thanks to its features, and it is also on sale with a discount of 30 euros on its recommended price.
The advantages of the Millennium MD27 Pro gaming monitor
- A 27-inch curved screen in QHD resolution
- A 144 Hz refresh rate
- One second response time
Instead of the usual 229.99 euros, the Millenium MD27 Pro is now available for sale for 199.99 euros at Place de l’Électro through Fnac. The one behind this offer is an associated Fnac vendor, Place de l’Électro, valued at 4.5/5.
Uncompromising visual comfort
The Millennium MD27 Pro is a curved LCD panel in QHD definition (2,560 x 1,440 pixels) with a diagonal of 27 inches, or more clearly, 68.5 cm. The display technology used is that of VA (vertical alignment) which has to do with contrast. Just like OLED panels, we’re entitled to bold colors and deep blacks. Viewing angles are 178° horizontally and vertically, which is honorable, and the contrast ratio set at 4000:1 is excellent.
With that alone, you are sure to have an excellent quality image and even if the display technology is similar to OLED, that does not mean that the brightness does not follow. This is measured at 400 cd/m². Regarding its installation, keep in mind that this monitor is compatible with the VESA 75 x 75 mm standard and that the connectors include HDMI and Display ports. Finally, the screen is adjustable in height and inclination.
Performances for competitive games
One of the great advantages of this Millenium MD27 Pro is its 144 Hz refresh rate and its response time of just one second. Which makes it perfectly suitable for high-strung multiplayer games, in principle, no detail will escape you. On the other hand, we can regret the absence of AMD FreeSync and Nvidia G-Sync technologies that synchronize your display with the performance of the graphics card and thus eliminate blurring, tearing and latency effects.
Also, it will be better to have a recent graphics card to get the full potential of this monitor, such as an RTX 3060 or 3070 or their AMD equivalents. To end on a negative point, the energy consumption of the Millenium MD27 Pro is classified F for 25 kWh/1000h, a criterion to take into account in these times of very high energy costs, especially if you are a regular gamer.
