DJI is definitely on all fronts. The Chinese manufacturer not only offers drones at all prices or action cameras, such as the Osmo Action 3, but is also a major player in the field of stabilization with its gimbals. After presenting its RS 3 and RS 3 Pro in June 2022, the firm returns with a more compact model, as its name suggests, the DJI RS 3 Mini.

Logically, the RS 3 Mini takes up the main features of its two older ones, since we will specifically find a 1.4-inch screen accessible directly from the handle to choose its control and shooting modes. It is also accompanied by a record button, a mode management button and a stick to control the shot.

Above all, the gimbal is decidedly lighter and more compact than the DJI RS 3 and RS 3 Pro, weighing 795 grams on the scale, compared to the DJI RS 3 Pro’s more than 1,400 grams. The RS 3 Mini is also Designed for one-handed operation. The Chinese manufacturer specifies that the gimbal is designed for use with cameras or cameras weighing up to 2 kilograms. The stabilizer also benefits from the same quick release plate system as previous versions. Its battery allows an autonomy of up to 10 hours.

A use designed for vertical video

It should also be noted that DJI is targeting this gimbal in particular for internet creators with a highlighted portrait format to correspond to the uses of vertical video, be it in stories, shorts or social networks like TikTok or Instagram.

The DJI RS 3 Mini is now available for sale. It is offered in France at a price of 389 euros.
