Bang & Olufsen is one of those brands that specializes in audio equipment and offers a large number of high-end products in its catalogue. But as you can imagine, it doesn’t happen. The Beoplay EQ Bluetooth headphones, for example, are outrageously priced, but they’re not gold-plated or trimmed in mink fur, but they do offer top-of-the-line performance. Fortunately, a promotion at Fnac lowers the price of these headphones from 399 euros to 199.99 euros.

After high-end headphones, the Danish Bang & Olufsen decides to step on the heels of Apple and compete with its AirPods Pro with Bluetooth headphones of the same caliber. If the Scandinavian firm is not in its first attempt at the Bluetooth headset market, the Beoplay EQ is the first model to integrate active noise reduction. At the moment, the Beoplay EQ enjoy a 50% discount.

where to buy the

Bang & Olufsen Beoplay EQ at the best price?

Excellent sound performance

Suffice it to say that at this price, the Beoplay EQ’s sound reproduction should be flawless. The 6.8 mm electrodynamic drivers deliver a balanced spatial sound and to which we have nothing to add, except that the treble is not emphasized enough. In any case, the mids are impeccable and the bass is very present. In addition, the headphones support the Bluetooth audio codecs SBC and AAC, but also aptX Adaptive. The latter is very rare, but promises high performance and latency reduced to 50 ms.

Where the Beoplay EQs are particularly attractive, however, is in terms of active and dynamic noise reduction, which is simply excellent. Based on the sound level of your external environment, the headphones will calibrate the isolation level by itself. They also benefit from a transparency mode. Finally, the six microphones in the two earpieces can filter the sounds around you when you make a call and therefore remain understandable, even in a noisy environment.

At this price, are the Beoplay EQs perfect?

No gold plating or mink fur, but anodized aluminum which, in addition to being more aesthetic, is resistant to corrosion, fingerprints, scratches and high temperatures. The headphones also come with four pairs of silicone eartips and one pair of comfortable insulating memory foams. The case is also made of aluminum and has a rubberized base that is compatible with Qi wireless charging, as well as a USB-C port.

Autonomy is 20 hours in normal use, which is average for the competition, and this figure drops to 6 or 7 hours with active noise reduction. You can also configure your earphones with the Bang & Olufsen app, but it’s a shame it doesn’t offer more customization options, for example to reduce noise.

These headphones aren’t perfect in the sense that perfection doesn’t exist, but the performance they give us can rarely be matched. In any case, they are perfectly worth the reduced price thanks to the Fnac promotion.
