True to form, Dell has not ventured too far into the field of innovation and has preferred to rest on its laurels when designing this Dell XPS 13. Compared to the previous model, nothing new except the integration of an Intel Core processor from 12th generation. However, the Dell XPS 13 is a good quality ultrabook and is an interesting alternative to the MacBook. In addition, its price is currently 1,099.01 euros instead of 1,699.01 euros in the official store.

Note, however, that you can get a 4K+ touchscreen as an option, but this will of course cost you more. In our test, the maximum brightness was measured at 490 cd/m² and the contrast ratio at 1828:1.

controlled performance

Inside the Dell XPS 13, there is an Intel Core i7-1250U processor equipped with 10 cores and 12 threads. It has a base frequency of 1.1 GHz and can reach 4.7 GHz in turbo boost mode. This processor offers more than enough performance for office automation, thanks in particular to its ten cores. Performances that also vary according to the thermal management and this is well guaranteed thanks to the effective dissipation, the temperature did not exceed 45° during our test.

The processor is assisted by 16GB of 5200MHz LPDDR5 RAM to run your tasks smoothly and storage is taken care of by a 512GB NVMe SSD – enough for a day’s work, but you’ll have to hook up the Dell XPS 13 for your Night activities. Finally, special mention to the speakers, among the best in the Windows laptop market and that provide us with powerful and high-quality sound!
