For the Sony WF-1000XM4, the manufacturer uses the formula from the Sony WF-1000XM3 to provide some relief. The case has undergone a facelift to make it 40% less bulky than its predecessor. The same goes for the ear cups, which are 10% thinner than those of the XM3. This results in dimensions of 3 x 2 x 2.3 cm for each earbud for 14.6 grams. The set weighs 41 grams. These changes make this model more compact and ergonomic.

Certified Hi-Res Audio, a guarantee of sound quality, the XM4 displays a frequency range of 20 to 40,000 Hz. The sound delivered is balanced, although the bass is slightly prominent. Finally, in terms of autonomy, the manufacturer announces 12 hours of autonomy with ANC and noise isolation deactivated compared to 8 hours if they are activated. With the Qi-compatible case, autonomy increases to 24 hours. We also have fast charging and it is done through a USB-C port.
