According to information from analyst Ming Chi Kuo, Apple launched the construction of a new AirPods Max earphone and affordable AirPods earphones. But we’ll have to wait another two years before they see the light of day.
After the AirPods 3 released at the end of 2021, then the AirPods Pro 2 available from the end of 2022, Apple would not have finished with its range of nomadic audio products. According to information from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the firm is already working on two new products for very different segments: a new AirPods Max earphone and more accessible AirPods Lite earphones.
In a series of tweets published this Thursday, January 12, the analyst of the firm TF International Securities reports that Apple has decided to change the production line of its audio products. According to the analyst, the firm should now work with Luxshare ICT and Hon Teng to assemble their next products, particularly starting in the second half of 2024 or the first half of 2025.

Above all, the firm would be launching a new pair of cheap wireless headphones at this time. It must be said that, in recent years, the segment of true wireless headphones has been democratized a lot and there are now a plethora of models with noise reduction and more or less advanced functions for less than 100 euros. Opposite, the most accessible option at Apple is still the AirPods 2, available on the manufacturer’s website at 160 euros. Above all, these headphones do not offer spatial audio or noise reduction, unlike many competitors.
Headphones released for less than $100
According to information from Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple would seek to offer its AirPods Lite at a particularly aggressive price of $99, or €92 without tax. A price that would put them in direct competition with the Huawei FreeBuds 5i, Nothings Ear (1) or Oppo Enco Free 2. Note that this is not the first time that rumors have reported AirPods Lite in the works. In recent days, analyst Jeff Pu has also reported on a similar project at the Apple brand.
At the moment, Apple has not yet announced anything and, given the schedule provided by Ming Chi Kuo, there is a good chance that the manufacturer’s projects will evolve by then. If the headphones and earphones were to launch at the end of 2024, we can expect a fairly quiet 2023 in the area of AirPods.
