On Reddit and other platforms, many S23 Ultra users are reporting recurring S Pen disconnection issues. An issue that deprives affected users of some of the specific features of the Samsung stylus.

The S Pen’s Bluetooth connectivity would be partially flawed with the Galaxy S23 Ultra. On Reddit, Twitter, or even on the official Samsung forum, many users of the device are reporting that the built-in stylus on the Samsung flagship keeps getting disconnected.
In some cases, Bluetooth connection issues occur when the stylus is pulled out of its slot, with a recurring notification appearing to warn the user that the connection to the S Pen has failed. The stylus then needs to be reinserted to attempt a reconnection which is not always successful. Other users are even reporting that the stylus is not connecting to the S23 Ultra at all.
A Galaxy S23 that makes people talk…
Remember that this is not the first time that the S23 Ultra has faced criticism on social networks and other forums. Not long ago, there was talk, for example, of the device because of the strange traces visible on the screen of certain copies. Samsung had then ensured that these traces were normal… however, without fully convincing the users in question.
Regardless, there are some solutions for users affected by these pen disconnection issues. In many cases, the “Keep S Pen attached” feature seems to work. To do this, go to the settings, in the “Advanced Features” tab, then go to the “S Pen” category. This feature, on the other hand, has the disadvantage of using more battery, but the impact is minimal, keep in mind PhoneArena.
The only problem I have with the S23 Ultra is that whenever I take out the S Pen, I always get a notification that the S Pen could not be connected and to reconnect it, I have to re-insert it. Even when it says S Pen still works but it’s annoying.

It is also possible to reset the S Pen. Again, you need to go through Settings, under “Advanced Features,” then “S Pen.” The reboot is then offered after clicking on the three vertical dots at the top of the screen. Be careful though, this solution only seems to work temporarily. Therefore, the S Pen Bluetooth connection problem might reappear after some time.
Please note, however, that Bluetooth connectivity is not required to enable the S Pen to function. However, you need to take advantage of the advanced features of the pen. However, we are betting that the two workarounds seen above will soon be removed by a proper patch implementation.
